As an Affiliate Partnerships Marketing Intern for Power Digital Marketing, I managed affiliate marketing campaigns for a variety of companies, most notably Goodr Sunglasses. I spent the summer sharpening my skills as a market researcher and data analyst, creating media lists filled with hundreds of prospective contacts, conducting outreach to journalists and influencers using Muck Rack to encourage them to become affiliates, and delivering weekly performance reports to senior leadership. I’m delighted to report that my work helped land several new affiliates for each of the brands I was assigned to!
Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana
As a Social Media Marketing Intern for Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana, I developed a penchant for all things social media, including captions. Being the youngest person in the office by nearly twenty years, I traversed new ground by employing AI tools like Claude and HubSpot to conduct a comprehensive ecosystem audit of the company’s social media platforms. After examining performance metrics, I then presented a series of detailed strategic recommendations to marketing and regional executives to help reinvigorate Goodwill’s existing channels. Once I received the green light from the company’s higher-ups, I crafted and posted written and short-form video content across Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and X to attract new followers and enhance engagement. But perhaps my biggest accomplishment was persuading senior management to create a TikTok account during my final presentation, helping my successors usher in a new era of social media growth for the company.
